Footloose- The musical

Following the success of the 1984 movie starring Kevin Bacon and Lori Singer, a stage musical was produced and premiered on Broadway in 2000. It was nominated for several Tony Awards. Since 2004, several UK tours have been produced, one starring Cheryl Baker (of Bucks Fizz fame!), along with West End productions in 2006 and 2007. Its last professional UK tour ended in December 2008.
