In 1975 Ken Russell and 70's rock group 'THE WHO' joined forces to create the screen version of Pete Townshend 'rock opera'.

It was then performed at the Queens Theatre, London on the 6th February 1979.

It then hit Broadway on the 22nd April 1993 at St. James Theatre.

The film was nominated for two Oscars, and starred by some of the greatest music greats such as Eric Clapton, Elton John and Tina Turner joining the who in this hard hitting story of a young boys journey from pain to triumph. With hit songs 'Pinball Wizard' and 'See Me, Feel Me'.

Tommy is a powerful tale of a boy who witnesses the accidental murder of his mothers love interest by his father. Tommy is so traumatised that he is struck deaf, dumb and blind. As he grows up Tommy suffers extreme abuse from relatives and neighbour alike encountering some outrageous characters.

As Tommy goes through adolescence he finds that he has an extraordinary talent for playing 'Pinball' which finds him fame and salvation.
